Infiniti School Sixth Form prepares our young people for adulthood and their transition from Y11 to Post 16. We are committed to outstanding progress academically and holistically for our young people as they prepare for adult life. Therefore, each student’s sixth form experience is personalised, meaningful and appropriate for their needs. The transition for students from key stage 4 to Post 16 is important for every young person and is the point at which young people start to plan for their futures and can tailor their education to their interests and ambitions. Students at Infiniti School Sixth form can make this transition with the support of dedicated and experienced teaching and support staff providing a wraparound package tailored to the needs of each and every student.
Infiniti School's sixth form is founded on the school values.
Engagement - Students can access a tailor-made curriculum, led by their interests and ambitions. To support students with their Post 16 choices, taster days are offered to provide students with more information and to support their decision-making. Students will also be offered bridging week, supporting them with the transition from Year 11 to Year 12.
Compassion - As students head into their careers, they will be offered work experience opportunities in the employment areas they are interested in. Infiniti school has excellent links with the local community which will enhance their experience of the working world and develop their interactions with colleagues and employers in a wide range of sectors.
Ownership - During their sixth form studies, students will have the opportunities to undertake leadership responsibilities in school. They will also undertake sessions on life skills and finance as they prepare for working life and independence.
Students can choose to study from a wide selection of courses such as Public Services, Sport, Childcare and Food. The post 16 provision is then complemented by work experience within relevant sectors in the local community, interventions such as life skills, finance and health and wellbeing. Where appropriate, students will also have the opportunity to resit core subjects with the support of our subject specialists. Infiniti school has excellent links with the local community and this provides opportunities for our students to volunteer and gain wider experience as they prepare for working life. Alongside subject and course delivery, students will engage in a range of trips and activities in line with their studies.
