In PSHE (personal, social, health and economic) lessons here at Infiniti our intention is to encourage students to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to manage their lives, now and in the future. PSHE will help pupils to stay healthy, safe and prepared for life and work in modern Britain.
Importance will be placed on mental health and well-being ensuring that students are well-prepared for the challenges that lay ahead of them. We aim to equip students with the knowledge and capability to take care of themselves and show them how to get support if a problem arises. We aim to foster student well-being and develop resilience and virtues that are fundamental to students being successful, productive members of society.
In this increasingly complex world where many people live their lives on and offline, we aim to equip students with the skills to be safe and healthy and to know how to manage their online and offline lives in a positive way.
The school has an ethnically diverse population, and many students have specific needs and come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Therefore, the timing and delivery of the sessions need to reflect and respect the background and ethnicity of the students.
Our PSHE curriculum will focus on three main strands:
Health and well-being
Living in the wider world
