OAA is all about taking students outside their comfort zone to learn new skills in an off-site location. Skills are built up gradually over a few weeks, giving students a real chance to improve, build confidence, and see their own progress week on week.
Students take part in a range of outdoor and adventurous activities, including:
Alongside these activities, we offer a fishing provision through Trailblazers. Students learn how to fish, while developing patience and experiencing the genuine reward of a successful catch — skills and qualities that extend well beyond the riverbank.
We also run a horse riding and education provision with Deepdene Stables, where students learn how to ride and how to properly care for a horse — combining a physical skill with the responsibility of looking after another living creature.
